The following Servers have been updated with new hardware:
* Web Server: nancy.gfdi.fsu.edu
* Web Server: hc.gfdi.fsu.edu
* Email Server: diana.gfdi.fsu.edu
* Application Server: kira.gfdi.fsu.edu (Matlab. X applications.)
* Application Server: medea.gfdi.fsu.edu (Dual Opteron. Compiling jobs.)
* File Server: willow.gfdi.fsu.edu
* Web Application Server: magic.gfdi.fsu.edu
All of the above servers are new hardware with redundant hard disks. The File Server gives the institute over a terabyte of SCSI storage. And the new email server allows for virus scanning and spam checking of all incoming GFDI email.
Servers are available to any GFDI associate or student on a needs basis.
The following additional workstations have became available:
* 4 Linux Dual Xeon Workstations for use with cluster and visualization applications.
* 2 Windows XP Dual Xeon Workstations. (PIV, general use.)
* 1 Windows 2000 Dual MP workstation. (Borland Builder 6.0.)
* 1 Dual G5 Apple workstation with dual monitors and scanner. (Coming soon!)
Use of these workstations is currently expected to be mostly open. Email me if you need or want more details on these workstations.
