Usage
HP 4250
This printer is located in the main GFDI lab.
- General Useage.
- Black and white prints.
- 500 page tray capacity. + 500 Tray 3 addition.
- Duplex prints very fast.

HP 4050
This printer is located the computer lab.
- General Use.
- Black and white prints.
- 200 page tray capacity. (Two trays.)
- Duplex capabile. (slow)

HP 4600 Color Laserjet
This printer is located the computer lab.
- Specific usage. Try to limit this printer to final prints.
- 300 page tray capacity.
- Duplex capabile.

Xerox 8500 Phaser Color printer.
This printer is located the main lab.
- General use. Color prints.
- 500 page tray capacity.
- Duplex capabile.

HP 800 ps Designjet.
This printer is located the computer lab.
- Specialty use. Color plots and large format prints.
- 42 inch print capable.
- Contact Jen or Ken for details of use.

Installation
Windows
- Go to "Control Panel" ==> "Printers"
- Select "Add new printer"
- Select "Network Printer"
- Selct "URL..." (The second input box option.)
- Enter in one of the following:
- for hp4250* http://128.186.0.7:631/printers/hp4250
- for hp4050 http://128.186.0.7:631/printers/hp4050
- for hp4600* http://128.186.0.7:631/printers/hp4600
- for Xerox8500* http://128.186.0.7:631/printers/Xerox8500
- Select the driver.
- For HP4000 and 4050, select "HP" and then the HP 4000 PS or HP4050 PS respectively.
- For the 4250, 4600 and Xerox8500, you'll need to download the drivers from here: Printer Drivers
- Select either the hp4250 or the hp4050 as default.
- Select the proper settings for the printer: (hp4050 and hp4600 only.)

- Under the properties tab for the hp4050, select "Device Settings".
- Scroll to the bottom and select "3" for the number of trays.
- Select the option of "Duplexer installed."
- Select more than 36 MB of memory.
hp4600
- Under the properties tab for the hp4600, select "Device Settings".
- Select the option of "Duplexer installed."
